Testing and examining methods in employee recruitment.

1. Test for knowledge.

In this type, there are tests to find about the applicant’s IQ and other special abilities.

1.1. Finding about the applicant’s IQ by using various types of question of social and natural subjects.

1.2. Finding about the applicant’s special abilities such as summarizing, analyzing, speaking, calculating and memorizing ability.

2. Test for skillfulness and physical strength.

Firstly, identify the skillfulness of hand, including fingers, the speed and maturity of movement, reaction ability and the working combination of all parts in human body.

Secondly, evaluate the applicant’s physical strength by factors of endurance, resistant degree, maximum weight can be moved or carried.

3. Test for personal traits and preferences.

Physical and mental abilities are often not enough to explain about work performance abilities because there are many other factors that affect strongly on employees, for example: will, taste, personal aspiration or incentives for personal motivation.

Test for personal profile traits is used to study and evaluate psychological factors of each applicant such as disposition, trait, preference or aspiration.

4. Test for achievements.

This type of test is often used in evaluating how much an employee learned after a training period. It is often used at school to examine the trainees’ knowledge of various sections: Economic, Human resource and so on.

5. Test for practical ability and available experience.

With this type of test, the employer assigns the applicants with some certain kinds of work, or puts them in a particular situation, and then asks them to solve the problem.

This test is different from other types since it evaluates directly employee’s work accomplishment ability and this is the best way to select an appropriate employee, because it is hard to trick in practical exercises.
